Behaviour in Vulcanization
With NAFTOCIT DETU a very fast vulcanization will be obtained. It is a typical accelerator for BR and ECO, as well as a second accelerator for other types of rubber like EPDM.
The addition of NAFTOCIT DETU (or NAFTOCIT Mi 12 - ETU) increases the rate of cure and the modulus, but reduces the storage stability of the compound.
For continuous vulcanization it gives a high degree of cure.
Typical fields of application
For the production of technical rubber goods, profiles and cables. Inhibitor for acidic media, e.g. refractory binder, anticorrosive agent.
Dosage
For BR (for continuous vulcanization like microwave, salt bath): 0.5 - 1.8 phr (by wt.) NAFTOCIT DETU in combination wìth 0.5 - 3.0 phr (by wt.) NAFTOCIT Mi 12 and 0 - 0.8 phr (by wt.) NAFTOCIT Thiuram 16.
Food contact applications
Not listed in FDA and BGA.
Shelf life
At least 1 year when avoiding extremely high temperatures and humidity.
Standard packing
Reinforced paper bags, 25 kg net.
